Kevin Jewell MSyI - Director

As a Subject Matter Expert for security and exercising, Kevin has worked around the world in both the commercial sector and as a representative of the UK Government, working with foreign authorities to improve their security, response plans and readiness in relation to major incidents.

Kevin spent the majority of his 28-year police service as a detective, primarily focussing on covert intelligence gathering, counter terrorism and national security, whilst also being a Counter Terrorism Security Coordinator (CT SecCo) and one of the UK’s longest serving Hostage & Crisis Negotiators. For the last four years of his career Kevin was seconded to the Office for Security and Counter Terrorism (OSCT) within the UK Home Office, building and delivering exercises as part of the National CT Exercise Programme. He worked closely with high-ranking Civil Servants and senior leaders within the agencies and organisations that respond to a terrorist incident, compiling reports for Government Ministers, making recommendations in relation to policy, doctrine and improvement opportunities.

As a highly committed and professional individual, Kevin is passionate about helping organisations to not only be as secure as possible, but also readying them to deal with crisis situations and incidents should they occur. Kevin understands individual organisational needs, being able to work closely and collaboratively with management teams to review existing security and response plans, offering impartial advice as to how preparedness can be optimised.
